Thanks for letting me know you're getting these newsletters. Whew! I wanted to say THANK YOU for all the birthday wishes. It means a lot. As many of you know, I don't have much for family left, so having fans and friends take the time to remember means more than you can imagine. My birthday is when I miss my mom and Gram the most. They made this time of year into a big deal, from special cakes to our own family song, and it's a very heartbreaking time for me. I lost both within 6 months of each other in 2012. Mom went less than 2 weeks before my birthday. After she died (cancer), I found the birthday card she'd already gotten for me. It was kind of neat. Anyway, having so many remember (I am crap at dates...and names half the time...) is very, very sweet. Obviously this doesn't apply to those of you who got a FB reminder. Cheaters. :-) Anyway, thank you!

I had a very low key birthday this year, with a couple of friends at the archery range and then the beach. Went unplugged too, which I highly recommend doing at least once a week. I normally make a big fuss over my birthday, but didn't have the energy to bother after everything (blog about that below). When you're both bipolar and a pro wrestler, and everyone around you seems to be dropping dead, every year you are still alive is (normally) worth celebrating the fuck out of. With copious amounts of cake.

I posted a new blog: Expensive Lessons. This was extremely difficult to write. It explains why I went AWOL for so long, missed shows and shoots and didn't return emails. It's about the sudden collapse of my relationship and much of what was surrounding it at the time.
